What a busy week in the Vocal Department - The Solo Vocal Festival was a success AND we had some of the members of the Class of 2017 perform successfully at the Schmidt Vocal Competition at GSU. Go Falcons!

Last, make sure you have a class partner take all of the notes being given to you during your session. Class of 2017
We will finalize our last two rounds of PRESCREEN filming dates for those of you who are looking to audition for Classical Voice, Vocal Performance or Commercial Music.

More work and discussion of the Dominant 7th Chord including inversions, open chord and figured bass! What??? Figured BASS??? It is ALL ABOUT THE BASS!!

Last week was a fun week - all of the Homecoming activities were successful! This week will be another wacky one - Picture Day, PSAT, college visits, callback auditions, etc! Hang on - it will be busy!

Tackle more examples in compound meter for All-State AND working on the compositional fundamentals of the Dominant 7th.

After your aural assessment in class differentiating the Major and Minor triad, along with the Dominant 7th, we will now move more into inversions. I will also challenge your sight-reading in compound meters.
