Week of September 10 - 14, 2019

CCCEPA Class of 2019

Next week, we will offer pre-screen filming for those of you who need to submit videos, in support of your 2019 college admission portfolios. This includes students who will apply to BFA programs in Acting and Musical Theatre.  Here are some items for you to know, as your prepare:

  1. Filmings will occur on September 17 (Monday), September 18 (Tuesday) and September 19 (Wednesday).
  2. Students applying to either a BA or BFA in MT, will be filmed on the FIRST DAY (9/17). Come dressed appropriately - shoes, hair, tie, belt, etc.
  3. Please be familiar with ALL slating and framing requirements for each of the schools you are applying. Moreover, please know if the school for which you audition would like either SEPARATE or COMBINED video files.
  4. Please make sure that ALL of your material is polished and ready - INCLUDING YOUR MONOLOGUES. If you have not already had Mr. Dogias or Mr. Adams see/hear your material - GET ON THAT!!
  5. YOU are solely responsible for the filming of any dance portion of your portfolios.
  6. Students who have made arrangements for outside support are exempt from the CCCEPA prescreen filming and coaching.
  7. If you are completing the CCCEPA pre-screen filming, you WILL PRESENT your material on Friday, September 14 to the CCCEPA Faculty for evaluation. Please be ready to showcase your MT song cuts DURING 2nd PERIOD - Brianna, Tyress, Elizabeth, Mona, Payton, Whit, and Hoke. During 3rd, Eshe.
(If you are applying to a BA/BM program in Vocal Performance, YOU WILL NOT FILM. Your deadlines, customarily, are later and differently outlined.)

I will be adding more information to this list, as we get closer.

Last, please refer to the “Class of 2019, Rules of Engagement” posted on THIS BLOG (to the right). Many of you have forgotten them, which has made some of your interactions in past week difficult. Please remember these rules. It will make it easier and more pleasant experience. #alwaysbekind

Wednesday MT Projects, DRAMA CLASSES, FALL 2018

Coachings have been for the semester. As we prepare for your in-class presentations, please remember the following:

1. We'll meet outside of class to pick and review your repertoire choice.
2. We'll go over the vocal line, melody and rhythms.
3. We'll talk about the text/lyrics.
4. We'll record a reduced piano accompaniment track, so you are able to review and practice your selection, daily.
